- ➤ A metro childcare center in Overland Park supported families affected by the government shutdown by offering extra help — the center stepped in to provide relief amid reduced federal services. KCTV 5
- ➤ The Kansas Department for Children and Families announced that families using SNAP received their full benefits Friday—over $31.6 million was distributed to about 86,000 households after a government shutdown stalled payments.
