A federal judge ruled Wednesday that undocumented students will no longer qualify for in-state tuition at public colleges and universities, permanently blocking a Kansas law that had allowed the benefit.
The decision came after requests by the DOJ and Kansas AG Kris Kobach, and it takes effect immediately.

Olathe North junior volleyball player Brinley Thompson was named KMBC 9's Hy-Vee Athlete of the Week after breaking her school record with 33 digs in one match.
She remains undecided about her college choice.
