- ➤ A fire on Tuesday night displaced five residents and three pets from an Overland Park apartment building, though no injuries occurred; firefighters from Overland Park and Leawood arrived just before 7 p.m. to knock down the flames—rescuing two dogs and a cat—and investigators are checking the cause. - ➤ A Kansas man from Mission Hills, Peter E. Goss, who drove the wrong way on a Missouri highway in 2024 and fatally collided with a Lee’s Summit driver, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and wrong-way driving as a warrant was issued on Tuesday—he is not yet in custody and his court appearance is pending.
