GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Kansas Congresswoman Sharice Davids demanded answers from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick after cuts left National Weather Service offices understaffed during a severe storm season+ she said the staffing reductions, highlighted by an EF-3 tornado approaching a local office, put public safety at risk and urged a quick plan to hire the needed meteorologists.  KCTV 5

  • Ramzee Robinson, a former NFL defensive back who spent nine years with the Chiefs, filed a lawsuit on Sunday alleging he was wrongfully fired as director of player engagement—he claims he was wrongly accused in a February meeting and denied access to security video during the process.
