Debbie Espinosa was named president and CEO of Harvesters — the Community Food Network, announced Friday in Kansas City.

She brings over 30 years of nonprofit experience and will begin her role at the end of August.

Madam C.J. Walker School in Merriam, recognized for its role in ending segregation, was added to the National Register of Historic Places today, unlocking restoration funding for planned upgrades (projects will preserve the school’s historic legacy).
