CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The FBI requested public help to investigate a firebombing of a Tesla in the metro area that occurred overnight on June 5 — officials say it is the second such incident. KCTV 5
- ➤ Joseph Andrew Wacaster was sentenced to life in prison without parole (minimum 25-year term) after pleading guilty to first-degree premeditated murder on April 21 for killing 27-year-old Cade Blackburn, who was found dead on March 30, 2024 in Edgerton. KMBC News
- ➤ A 24-year-old woman was charged with first-degree murder and drug distribution offenses in connection with the Dec 24 death of Alexandrea Hunter and her unborn child in Roeland Park—she is held on a $1 million bond and will appear in court on June 12. KMBC News
