Fire apparatus officer Brandon Hullinger was celebrated Saturday for saving a drowning child at his neighborhood pool last summer—his recognition spotlighted the department’s commitment to service. - ➤ Over the weekend, Israeli Ambassador Michael Leiter visited the family of Sarah Milgrim—an Overland Park native fatally shot with her boyfriend outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.—and he shared heartfelt condolences while planning another visit before returning to Washington. - ➤ Johnson County Community College has launched a scholarship offering free tuition to children of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty—this program covers any career path available at the college. The initiative aims to reduce financial burdens for grieving families. KSHB
