- ➤ Overland Park is set to open three outdoor pools starting Sunday, May 25—Stonegate Pool, Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center, and Young’s Pool—with hours from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The city permanently closed Bluejacket Pool in August 2024 and will offer adaptive splash sessions on select Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. KCTV 5

- ➤ Kansas law enforcement continue searching for 81-year-old Jerry McConnell—issued a Silver Alert because she is at risk—after the Cowley County Sheriff's Office located her gray 2009 Honda Accord Tuesday evening; she was last seen May 14 driving to her Overland Park home. KMBC News

- ➤ A federal class action lawsuit was filed against KDR and Axiom Property Management after about 700 residents were forced to leave Aspen Place Apartments in Gardner within 48 hours earlier this month when the city condemned the property due to water issues and a damaged access road—on the same day a bank began a foreclosure case over a 14.6 million dollar loan while residents struggled to secure new housing and legal help.
