Eleven years after a tragic shooting in Overland Park killed three people at two Jewish facilities, the non-profit SevenDays was founded to unite people by spreading kindness—hosting conversations, projects and events that celebrate differences and help overcome hate.

Dr. Scott Taggart Roethle, 47 — of Leawood — pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis on Friday and admitted to receiving nearly $675K in kickbacks to order medically unnecessary health care for thousands of patients.

More than 440 students will join the Kansas City Invention Convention at the UMKC Swinney Recreation Center next Thursday — some students from St. Teresa’s Academy are already working on InvisiTracker, a project that helps track their location to stay safe.
🏛️ Government
Kansas Governor Laura Kelly vetoed six bills on April 4 while allowing two to become law without her signature—lawmakers must now secure a two-thirds majority to override the vetoes.
