- ➤ State health officials said Wednesday that a measles outbreak in southwest Kansas doubled to 23 cases in less than a week across six counties with a possible link to outbreaks in Texas and New Mexico—doctors were put on high alert and early vaccination was recommended for infants in the outbreak areas. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Kansas City Royals owner John Sherman said on Wednesday that the team is considering several stadium sites in both Missouri and Kansas. He added that the process is complicated and further details on a downtown stadium option may be revealed by mid-June or July. KMBC News
- ➤ Royals captain Salvador Perez said that Opening Day feels like the World Series—he added that playing baseball in Kansas City makes him feel at home. Team owner John Sherman said the team expects to reach the postseason as it builds on a focused spirit heading into the 2025 season. KCTV 5
