- ➤ The Kansas nonprofit All For Moms recently moved into an 8,000 sqft facility in Paola to better support local mothers amid rising demand. Co-founders Allie Lohman and Katie Warner said the new space includes a thrift store & resource closet offering free diapers, wipes, and maternity clothing for families. KSHB
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MoDOT crews will soon begin a temporary fix for northbound US 169 Highway after residents asked about its reopening during a recent Let’s Talk event in Gladstone. The construction will shift traffic to run in both directions and the northbound bridge will be replaced after the World Cup. KSHB
- ➤ Leslie Carr—Overland Park planning and development director—spoke with KCTV5 yesterday about home affordability. KCTV 5
- ➤ The Kansas House approved a bill for a state sports authority to guide the building of a new stadium practice facility and team headquarters, which gives Kansas City, Kansas + Olathe mayors added voting power. The measure now moves to the state senate for review. KMBC News

- ➤ Lenexa police reported more raccoons showing signs of canine distemper today. Residents are advised not to feed wildlife (which increases disease spread) and to check pet vaccination records. KSHB
- ➤ Lenexa Police Department warns residents and pet owners to be cautious of raccoons showing signs of distemper (a contagious virus affecting dogs and wildlife) and advises avoiding contact, calling Animal Control at 9134777301, and ensuring pets are vaccinated. KMBC News
