  • A baby is fighting for life after a pit bull bit it in Prairie Village on Thursday night while a babysitter watched, and police later seized and euthanized the dog+ trainer Victor Farris from KC Dawgz Dog Training Academy said any dog could attack if children are not closely supervised.  KCTV 5

CULTURE NEWS

  • Planet Comicon will be held from March 21 to 23 at the Kansas City Convention Center and will feature comic creators, actors, and first come first served panels. Attendees can pick up wristbands early on March 20 at Elite Comics in Overland Park from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and at a Kansas City location from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  FOX 4 KC

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Monday's Commerce Department numbers show retail sales in February increased 0.2% after a 1.2% drop in January—economists say the rise did not meet expectations. Local consumers and business owners in Overland Park report cutting back on spending as higher prices and tariffs force them to focus on essentials.  KSHB
