  • Johnson County property values will rise by about 6% this year, prompting concerns among long-time homeowners like Olathe resident Brad Vickery. Homeowners have until March 27 to appeal assessments as a tax relief bill stalls in the Legislature.  KSHB

  • On Monday, Mar. 16, the Kansas City Chiefs traded former first-round pick quarterback Justin Fields to New York, sending a 2027 sixth-round pick. The team also added RB Emari Demercado and cornerback Kader Kohou earlier this week.  KCTV 5
  • Bonner Springs Braves stunned top-seeded Kapaun Mt. Carmel with a 53-50 victory in the Kansas Class 5A state championship game Saturday to capture their first state title since 1984.   • Kansas City Comets managing partner Brian Budzinski called for referee (Rich Grady) to retire at the season's end after a controversial red card decision led to a 6-5 overtime home loss Saturday at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.  KSHB
