- ➤ Johnny Waller Jr. founded Clear Tomorrow KC in fall 2024 as a scholarship fund in his son’s memory — the nonprofit offers free mental health support with credentialed practitioners and aims to break cycles of incarceration. It supports residents throughout Kansas City. KCTV 5

- ➤ Evergy introduced a load rate plan in November that requires hyperscale data centers (paying up to 20% extra to cover grid upgrades) to help keep utility bills low for local customers amid a booming data center scene. The plan excludes Meta’s campus. KSHB
